The search is on for the cast of "Atlanta Homicide" season two.

Great things are happening in Atlanta.  With numerous multi-million dollar developments taking place, more highly acclaimed restaurants, great sporting teams, a variety of hotels and a superb nightlife, Atlanta is definitely making a name for itself and the film industry is taking notice. The Georgia Film Commission and the City of Atlanta Police Department are pleased to announce that the new television series "Atlanta Homicide" will start filming Season 2 in Atlanta in mid-March 2008.

The crime solving team in "Atlanta Homicide" has completed filming season one and are gearing up for season two. The highly anticipated second season ratings look even more promising with the full-fledged cast of stars located in greater Atlanta. Case, Montell Jordan, Bill Nunn, Young Joc, Goodie Mob, and the Ying Yang Twins are all slated to make appearances next season.

"We were thrilled to hear that StarMaxx Media chose Atlanta as the location site for the second season of "Atlanta Homicide," said Billy Johnson of the Governors Rewards Office. "Our city has so much to offer and we are glad to see that the television and film industry is beginning to recognize the diversity in our location. I think we were able to secure the deal by focusing on all of the great features and dynamics that the city has to offer producers."

Atlanta is strategically located next to another big city, Decatur, as well as numerous small rural towns that offer a wonderfully diverse characteristic to the Greater Atlanta Area. The city also has a strong knowledgeable crew base, facilities, equipment and resources as well as access to the busiest airport in the U.S. - Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport. All of these assets give the city a great creative product for a reasonable bottom line which equals vast opportunities for Atlanta.

The one hour episodic series will begin test marketing and will air on Friday Nights and early Saturday mornings on various Atlanta channels. They will film in Atlanta for nine to ten months and shoot over 20 episodes. In comparison to “Heat of the Night” another locally shot television hit series; "Atlanta Homicide" is expected to bring more than $50 million into the city of Atlanta.
